I'm not reliable, but someone say Yahoo likes higher keyword density. Also on author optimization in Yahoo has some more coefficient than in Google, and next course jazz more fewer weight than in Google.

I had the same problem with one of my website.I have submit it into google Its catched so fast.But in yahoo it is not catch up with that much fast.Its taking time to catch.I have noticed that from my go through.

Yes, you're right, I also noticed Google & Yahoo rank the sites differently. I think it happen because Google & Yahoo use different algorythms and they weight different aspects of the site differently. Very possible it happen because Google & Yahoo treat website cache differently, For examply Yahoo is changing cache faster than Google, and while you still have a good ranking in Google your ranking in Yahoo is already dropped. I also suspect what is good for Google is not good for Yahoo simply because they are compatitors (I might be wrong saying that).
Usually I do the things for my web site, not for the search engines, and of course I apply the same basic SEO technics.

First, you have to be appropriate whenever you are placing links or posting topic.

BTW, some says yahoo loves contents, make sure you have complete tags on head part of your html.

Almost all the sites will not be listed on all the search engines. So, back links will appear only from the sites which have indexed in the search engines.

As far as I know, there are a a multitude of external trackers available for Yahoo. Though, I must admit that these aren't as good as that of analytics.

I still think that Google has the best quality searches. It uses a lot more information than just scanning the page for strings of text.

Only following search engine rules is not sufficient we have to also use various on page and off page SEO techniques regularly to build quality backlinks which actually helps to get good rank in Yahoo and Bing search engines.

search engine submission is not required. If your site has good links it will get indexed well even if you dont add it manualy to the search engine. Concentrate on the links.

when every you start SEO for any site you should work on on-page first of all then move to off-page and try to get more and more backlinks.
