Google and Keywords Meta Tags

Post by peterko »

Hello everybody,

I've heard from different sources that Google no longer consider Keywords meta tags for website ranking.

Is it TRUE or FALSE?

If it's TRUE, so what about "Title" & "Description".

Are the meta tags still important for SE's to provide the good quality query results and for the website ranking?

I know site content is the most important for SE's, but would it be correct to say that keywords no longer valued for website ranking and only content is a key.

What do you think about it?

Have a great day,

Thank you Montux,

You just proved my assumption.
Would it be correct to say that getting the good quality backlinks is a KEY and relevant content is a KEY, and the rest is important but not that much?

What about internal links?
If I use a lot of affiliated program links, no matter I have relevant content, will it hurm my ranking?

Best regards,

Even if Google doesn't use meta tags, other search engines do. It would be silly to think that even though Google is the biggest, they're not the only search engine. I still use meta tags, but I don't overdo the content of them...

Try to fullfil it but put more effort on link exchange and directory submission. But doing it, definate will increase your search rank in google or other search engine.

Keyword tags will not be used much longer.

For a search engine to use keywords for rankings LOWERS the quality of the search engine results. It allows for no work to add keywords to your site, and everyone spams it with their words.
