On-Page Optimisation
I have read lots of info about On-Page Optimisation, but exactly how much effort should you really put into it, isn't link building the only real way to go.

Onpage is done first before off-page since offpage(link building) is very crucial and SEs takes time to accomodate it... Onpage is very easy to be done..

On page and off page optimization should be done equally.meru wrote:I have read lots of info about On-Page Optimisation, but exactly how much effort should you really put into it, isn't link building the only real way to go.

Optimizations
Yeah, optimization is really the longest part of all when you deal with websites. I'm not saying web design is an eazy part, but comparing to optimization it takes less time. You can't say which optimization part is the most important, they both important.

For me, it is the offpage optimization that takes so much time and effort.
As long as you have your final keywords and that it is included in the Title, Description and Alt Tags of your site, you'll be fine.
A few tweaks now and then is okay, too, but that's it. Of course, you can also update your contents so to have a good density of your keywords.

i agree.... actually as i experience.. you can start the off page even if the site wasnt done in on page, as long as the site was up..aira wrote:On page and off page optimization should be done equally.meru wrote:I have read lots of info about On-Page Optimisation, but exactly how much effort should you really put into it, isn't link building the only real way to go.

On page optimization doesnt necessarily imply keyword stuffing when it comes to on-page optimization.
On-page optimization means that one should make adjustments in the website which can be easily crawled/indexed and ranked by search engines.
This includes removing any HTML errors, adding optimum keyword density and a nice navigation structure to your website.
On-page optimization can really help you if you use it wisely. However you should make sure never to use artificial means or to use an artificial keyword density aimed towards a particular keyword OR keyphrase.

On-page optimization should be played wisely. Site analysis is more important before getting on any type of optimization... Analyze your site first before doing the on-page optimization. Off-page optimization comes right after that.
