It can definatly help with ranking if you have a domain with the search phrase you are tragateing in i.e if you got the domain name websitedesigncompany.com it would help you rank for the phrase website design company.

Agree to leftybogs.. And i think that is all what matters.. But yes we can't deny the fact that having keyword rich domain name can somehow help you in your rankings.. But still depends on how will you going to optimized it..
