Friends,

I am new to SEO. It has been a headache for optimizing the site. I know increasing the quality links increase the sites Page Rank. But how?

You have to get links from other sites, specially related to your site category from other sites. If you visit the link exchange section in Submitexpress.com, I am sure that you will be able to find some link exchange request in your site category.

Your are right , get more quality backlinks and trusted links such as link exchange partners, social bookmarking, article and press release. Content is still important for the site. The content must be fresh and with quality content

to get back links for ur site u have to do on page and off page optimization. right meta tags for ur site and do article submission, directory submission, link exchange.

Say that you are selling widget A. Look for sites that sell widget B and ask them to exchange links with you. Preferably ones that are higher up in the search engines for page rank. If you sell any type of home decor, look for real estate sites(many don't think of this) because it deals in homes. Don't sell dog food and look for a site that sells cars to exchange links, as it is not content related. Make sure that you have good content with links to other pages from your home page. The robots will be able to index each page better. Also go to google and get a site map. There is a ton of free info out there if you search for it. The reason why I make it, is due to servicing a specific clientele, and most people do not have the time, or don't want to take the time to search on how to do it.

Link popularity refers to the number and quality of the incoming links that are pointing to your site. No marketing tool can replace the effectiveness of word of mouth advertising. The same principle applies to website links. When a trusted site links to yours, people follow the recommendation. That is how linking works.

Your web site is well done. These are populaer methods to get more backlinks:

1. Add your URL to directories
2. Get some reciprocal links from other sites.
3. Write articles and add your link in the text
4. Add links to BLOGs

Okay it goes like this

U have a brand new website and u want a lot of traffic and for traffic u need to popularise( backlinks) that website and there are many methods for that

1. Post in forums with signatures
2. write articles with backinks to your sites
3 bloggs and comments
4. social bookmarking / groups
5.press release

and all that( there are many more)
