Does forwarding and promoting the domains help alot with SEO or not?

I mean as in if it has keywords within the domain.

For example

Link Website forwarded to Crysis

Battlefield is a game supported within the Online Multiplayer site you see.

Your site can be penalized for duplicate content if you use the same content in both sites. Therefore, use different content in forwarding site. This can help you to get a better ranking in search engines.

If you have to use forwarding use 301 redirect, that way all the links pointing to first domain will now point to second domain and the PR will also be transferred.
