site out of 30 position..............please advice

Post by carolinejames »

Hi,

Can someone please help me what's going on with google rankings? My site was on the first page for many competitive key phrase. But now it just doesn't enter within 3 pages. Infact when I search for my site in google, then also it is coming after 30 position. Is it some sort of penalty ?

please advice

Have you only changed position on Google and not MSN or Yahoo!?

Is your site completely SEO compliant? It does sound like the -30 penalty Google is apparently found of enacting.

Site out of 30 position........please advice

Post by carolinejames »

That's rite my site has only changed position in google and not in other search engines. Infact when i look for my site name in google it comes in 31st position. Although the page rank of my site has increased but at the cost of the google ranking.

After being hit by the google I changed the meta tags of many pages but no difference in ranking. I am doing link popularity with good sites but even that has not helped. It's been a month and the site is just not coming up.

I would like to add that out of 300 pages indexed only 6 pages are showing and rest are coming in omitted result.

I have a little concern also. I have submitted some article with www........ and for the same pages without www......... . But after a while i changed it to www. Would it create problem??

Regards,
Caroline

It is very natural for a site to move out of top 30 position, just optimize your site very well and you may go higher than top 30. Maybe top 10 if you're lucky.

If your site have lost the rank then you have to optimize your site again.Check all directories where you have submitted your site and check whether your link is there or not.If not then resubmit your site.Check your competitors site backlinks if they have more link then you have to get backlinks more than your competitors.

Well, you've mentioned that you are using a competitive keyword..so it's just natural for a site to have some changes in SERPs position because of competition. All you have to do is to focus on SEO
