Will it make a difference submitting to thousands of search engines and directorys and how often.
Different lists of directories are found everywhere in the world wide web, you are the one who must submit if you are an SEO or a webmaster.

Submit your site in different directories to be indexed by SEs. :)

my recomendation is that do not pay any company to submit your site. There are free softwares and websites which will submit your websites to top search engines. If you want to add your site to directories do them manually.

^ i agree... there is no point in submitting sites which are not fully optimized because directories will also reject it.

Site should be submitted it in good Page Rank directories to get quality backlinks and way of submissions should be manual because there are chances of errors in automated submissions.

In my experience automated systems dont work for directory submissions. they submit to crappy, useless directories unless you have found a software that can read those security codes all decent directories have. Some people offer manual submission that would be my recommendation save you a lot of time.

a hundred of directories can be found on the internet and you can submit it for free. Before submitting it you need to identify the title, keywords, description, url and content info. You can also submit it to Google, Yahoo and MSN search engine. We always want to submit our links to trusted and quality site, first is to evaluated the site, the relevancy, quality, content, page rank, backlinks, indexed, if banned, domain and traffic as well. This are the things to be considered in evaluating a site.
