Getting more people found sites bannned by MSN (Live)
I think it is time to recheck your sites at MSN for better SEO
Recently getting more websites de-indexed or banned by MSN (and Live).
Many famous sites disappear from MSN.com and Live.com too.
I suggest you to check your site: your domain .com
use ( site: ) to search
Maybe MSN is updating or some kind problem.
or
Possible MSN are transfering all search datas and functions to Live now.
If your site is not showed by searching site: your domain .com
then both MSN and Live will suggest to add you URL at this URL:
http://search.live.com/docs/submit.aspx
I know very few hits from MSN only
but still
Hope we all have better SEO

My site is banned from MSN. I was never really sure why. At the same time, I never received much traffic from there anyhow. I am just optimizing for Google!

Several times, while doing SEO for google and yahoo, I realized that if one thing works for google it could drop me on yahoo, so you're right that all search engines differ in their ranking algos. Also when we talk about MSN optimization, we find very few info online even in webmaster forums: since everyone is running after google

All the major search engines use different search systems and they 'botch' the job and get messed up occasionally. Sometimes you can get banned by one of the se's even when you are doing nothing out of the ordinary.
Or least you may think it is nothing out of the ordinary. The best way not to have 'trouble' is to actually real the tos for one of these sites so that you can get a good understanding of what they are looking for.
Getting back on track is helpful to focus on creating usable content. Sometimes we get too carried away listening to so called guru's and never actually go to the source.

Some of us have been banned for unknown reasons. I must have sent them five or six emails over the last two years. Everytime, after a long discussion back and forth, it goes back to "ranking is automated..." You'll get the same response on their webmaster helpless page.
I've come to conclude this happens for one of two reasons:
1 - The folks at MS support are liars.
2 - The folks at MS have no idea how their search engine really works. <- my bet is with this reason
As a shareholder in MS I'm quite upset with how they've chosen to run search.
