I have seen an increase from live.com, but currently their index is decreasing. I believe they are trying to weed out the spam sites and keep the real content rich sites.

Since they are trying to compete more heavily with Google and Yahoo, my answer is yes. They cant allow spammy sites to get on top, so if they want quality, their algo will have to change. That can be good or bad for some sites!

It's just a matter of time until more & more users will get back to using MSN and Google's visitors will decrease.
I agree MSN rules and the quality of search results are far better then Google.

I think MSN gives better results for the most part...the problem is that far more people use Google...it would be nice to see the changing of the guards because it seems that my pages show up much better in MSN and I'm not competing with Spam sites...

I use google, but it does have a lot of spam sites in it that really deflate the value to its user. Its weird that spam sites are able to rule in google because they say that google has very good protection from that, eventhough we dont see it!

when you've been in the SEO game for a while you know how easy it is to go straight to the top for medium-competitivity search terms in msn - i can guarantee to get any site to the top page of MSN within 3 months for any search term - all i have to do is LOTS OF SPAMMING *lol

google on the other hand will sandbox u for unnatural SEO behaviour

yahoo is somewhere inbetween

Google will sandbox you anyways...though, I still advocate white hat optimization techniques...but I hate the sandbox...

well, for the most ethical things (better coding and keywording) i can't see the sandbox happening. maybe your 'white hat' is a little grey?

It is kind of funny that people believe that google will penalize your site in any way just by adding links to it??? Google is working on this so it will be harder to get someone sabotaging your site.

to rank high on google your site need to look great, not like geocities
