I just searched using my firefox MSN search plugin, and got a new search engine page for MSN.

MSN Live, is trying to compete more with Google from what it looks.
Web search, image search, news, Q and A, and videos are some of the things you can search in the new MSN Live.

The new MSN Image search seems to be the most blatent attempt to compete with Google. It has more features like hover-zoom, a LOT more pictures per page, and the ability to sort and order the results. In my opinion, MSN Image search is slower than google, and more annoying.

Im not sure about the way it ranks pages for keywords, but I do know my website moved down 3 places since yesterday.

Overall, I think I like the old MSN better.

i have been having the new msn and frankly i prefer the old one. so many sites have gone down because of that as well.
