BING on the rise

I read today in net magazine that bing is up from 8.8% to 12.8% of the share of search engines, overtaking yahoo. I never knew it was that popular. I submitted one of my sites to BING a few months ago and we are recieving an average of 10 hits per day, you might not think thats great but it's 10 more then before we submitted it and also more hits in comparision to what we recieve from yahoo acording to analytics.

That is a very good news. Bing is just a new SE and hope it will maintain its progress.

That sounds impressive, but Bing is still way behind Google. I wonder if Bing will continue to generate more search engine share in the future.

I saw this on the new this morning. "Web analytics firm StatCounter released analysis Monday stating that Bing slightly increased Microsoft's share of the U.S. search market in July. It now claims 9.41 percent, up from 8.23 percent in June."

Personally I like Bing much better than Google at this point and I am not the only one. I'd like to see a stronger competition to Google.

My IBLs for Bing/MSN increased as of today. I can see huge improvements now. That is a good sign!

Well, one shouldn't have to wonder why bing overtakes yahoo this time.

The latest news I've learned is that yahoo said yes on the buy out of their search by Microsoft. This means in no time we'll be hearing updates that yahoo search is using bing's semantic approach to search on the background. In simple statement, yahoo is backing up from search engine battle to concentrate more on providing content leaving the two giants microsoft's bing and google search.

Lately I started to notice Bing's TV commercial almost built in to the show. First time I saw one when I was watching the Philantrophist then I saw another one when I was watchign the Anthony Bourdain.

They incorporate the actors and the show to promore the Bing's search features. First time I thought it was a product placement but actually a 30 sec spot.

I think Bing results are much better than Yahoo. But still Google is the best.

The reason bing is having a surge right now is because Microsoft is spending some serious cash right now on advertising.

Bing has a very large budget for TV advertising which is just like product placement in the popular TV shows. They are after the Google's market share and I belive with the quality results and clean formating they will slowly move up soon.

Bing's recent success would just likely be temporary. After spending too much money on advertising, I wonder what their next move will be.
