Yahoo and Google

Hi everybody,
I applied so many different technics by doing my optimization, in order to be nice and friendly to all major search engines. My site
http://www.supremedeal.com use to be more popular in Yahoo than Google. Then I desided to work on how to get more attention from Google, since Google currently is more popular than Yahoo. I recieved better results with Google, but I never realized that at the same time Yahoo will treat me worse than before and I lost my previouse popularity with Yahoo, which still visits my site by its Slurp.
I understand, those search engine use different algorythms, but in my case it looks they are opposite to each other - the better results with Yahoo, the worse in Google, the better in Google the worse in Yahoo.
That might be coincedent. For example, if I put some of my keywords
"supreme clothing" in Google, then my site is on the first output page. If the same phrase in Yahoo, the result is no one knows where.
Why it happen that way?
Thank you for your opinions.
Have a great day,
Peter

What techniques did you use to make Google notice you more?
Google ranking

No special technics have been used. Regular optimization technics with increase of relevant back-links. The only thing I paid more attention then usually is bringing my site content and meta tags, if you could say so, to the "human friendly appearance", well readable without keyword stuffing.
Google likes the sites, which are designed for the people, but not for search engines. So I was trying to follow that logic. Google noticed that, but Yahoo slightly reduced my ranking, hopefully it will come back with better search results. Just try "supreme clothing" at the Google's and Yahoo search boxes, and you will see the ranking difference.
Have a great day,
Peter

Hi, normally when you are having good results with Google, this means your website is in good shape and optimization status.
In many cases, Yahoo takes some times before it gives proper and stable ranks to a website, so if you believe you are doing good on Google, continue and other search engines will reach you sooner or later.

I wouldnt be surprised if they did that. It would be kind of like the battle between internet explorer and netscape. they just grow more and more appart in how they operate to establish branding.

well better stick with optimizing your site on SE of your choice, if you think Google gives better benefit or Yahoo does for your site then stick with that SE... if you have budget and needs traffic from both SE, here's my advise:
ex. optimize your site on Google then purchase adword on Yahoo
