Though Yahoo is good at entertainment, travel and other such thing, I guess it doesn't provide great information on a variety of topics.

Yeah i also agree that yahoo providing us lots of entertainment in shape of chatting ,news.Its search engine is okay but not good as Google.

Yahoo has been experimenting in its layout for the past few years. Yahoo News has a very basic template, but it has the most interesting coverage.

yeah its look really cool, And good looking too, thats why yahoo is bit slow rather then google, because they are using lot of images and scripts on them pages
