Hi to all,

I'm new and am learning so much at this Forum!

Is it better to wait until you have your Web site all set up correctly with SEO before you buy the Yahoo Directory for $299.00? I'm considering it but I am really just getting started with my site. I don't think I'm indexed anywhere yet.

If anyone is willing to take a look at my site and let me know how I'm coming along, I'd appreciate it!

Thank you,

Your site looks very basic. You have some good content on it though. Your verisign is for another domain name. I see that your website it hosted and maybe built with citymax. You might want to think about getting a domain without the citymax.com part in it. If I were you, I would wait until you are done before submitting to yahoo directory only because they can sometimes be strict and if they dont like your site then you just lost $300. Good luck with the site!

Thank you Overdriveelectronics. Some good advise. I'll see about the domain name.

Citymax said that the Verisign to their name covers all site owners.

Yep, my site is indeed basic. Can you give me any clues about making it less basic?

Thanks!
Eleanor

I also agree with overdriveelectronics. Don't submit subdomain to yahoo directory.

I don't think submitting to yahoo directory drives a good amount of traffic. It may not be helpful for Google rankings. But as its a premium directory...it may not be a waste of money.

Yahoo Directory is not a good source of traffic. but it will help you to improve your page rank. It provides good 11 quality oneway links to your site.
