Post by link.ezer.com »

My yahoo search some times has problem?

example:
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=travel ... =&ei=UTF-8

error message:
We did not find results for: books. Try the suggestions below or type a new query above.

I try Italia yahoo, China yahoo, India yahoo, UK yahoo
Australia yahoo....Japan.. Canada..yahoo..
they all running very good.... but only the USA yahoo does not work well very often for many days already.

Do you know why? Is it becasue yahoo has new version?

I havent come across any problems with Yahoo search. Maybe something is wrong with yours, do you have any thing installed that might affect the search capability?

About my www.yahoo.com :

I delete yahoo tool bar and reinstall again

This time I do not use search.yahoo.com new search function

Hi OverDriveElectronics,

hope this helps you:
1. If you have yahoo tool anti-spy then you may run it...
2. If you have google toolbar with running Page Rank function then you may need to check your google bar version first.
It might be a tool-bar-slow-down-my-browser question
If it is v3 or v4 then Stop the Page Rank function for your Google toolbar.
solution here: http://3w.ezer.com/searchengine/google/ ... r-slow.asp
3. search.yahoo.com new search function maybe it has some problems.

I think yahoo just fix their redirection problem...

Yahoo try to introduce their new yahoo seach by redirecting search page

example:

Your "site: " query has been redirected to Site Explorer. You can continue to use normal web search for other queries.

Your "linkdomain: " query will be redirected to Site Explorer. You can continue to use normal web search for

If the redirection action to siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com fail, you shall be able to see the error to tell you : unable to search

it is only for search.yahoo.com and yahoo.com but not yet for country region yahoo.....
a test to try new result:

Its first time that I heard someone is complaining yahoo ha. as far as im using yahoo for more that 5years, i never encounter that problem. Maybe, you've encountered trouble when some of the featured program in yahoo is on progress for upgrading.

It works fine with my browser as well. In your case, it might be a temporary "time-out".

I had a problem before wherein it displayed an 999 error.

But all in all, I had no problems with Yahoo Search other than the one I measured.

Recently, yahoo.tw is so strange, search pages open very slowly, sometimes only a half page.

My computer does not have any problem
