Submit Express also has free submissions to the top search engines. If you use this forum you can also use them. There are many companies that do the submission for you, but make sure that you dont pay for it!

Most of the time you dont even have to submit to search engines. If you link build for a while and get some good links pointing to your site then the big search engines will pick you up quickly!

When you say "quality links" what do you mean? Links to other sites, on your website? Doesn't that look "tacky" Can we make a seperate page, with just a link on the main page that says "links" or "partners" or what ever? Will that still help in finding our site too?

Yeah, submit express does have a good tool. I have used it for a lot of different sites and it all went very well. They have other tools that help you out as well.

Yeah I know, but some people do use tools on a regular basis. I know one guy that checks his link pop everyday if not more than. Some people said that it can be bad but I dont think his site has suffered because of it. Do you know of any penalties because of it?

Yeah, I was just wondering if anyone has been penalized from using too many tools to check on their website. Thanks for the feedback!

Of course you can submit to yahoo for free. Just use the "Submit Your Site" link at the bottom of the results page.
