Why is Yahoo! 360 closing?

Though 360 gained a strong core of loyal users (you) who enjoyed the service, Yahoo! has been reprioritizing some products to help us deliver the best possible experiences to consumers. The decision to close Yahoo! 360 and transition users to profiles is part of this larger strategy, but we had been waiting until we had an alternative solution that we could offer to our community of Yahoo! 360 users until we officially shut down 360.

wow, yahoo is shutting down lots of their services.

I know they are about 12 steps behind google when it comes to service.

One thing that bothers me is Gmail is 100% free.

Yahoo Mail you need to pay if you want full functionality like email forwarders etc.

What a joke.

I would love to see yahoo update there algorithm and compete, but I have no idea what they are doing / thinking.

I am not sure that shutting down all of these services is a good idea, unless they have something in mind that we do not fully know about.

I think yahoo wants to cut down its cost so that's why yahoo wants to change its strategies by minimizing its free services.
