Google, owner of the leading online search engine, is devoted to a single-minded mission: transforming the way the world finds and stores information, even if that means sending people somewhere else.

Yahoo, owner of the world's most popular Web site, is taking a more multidimensional approach as it strives to be all things for all people — a one-stop destination for recreation, work and research.

Google displayed most favorable searches while Yahoo still "trying" to give you the best they can provide.

I find that if I search for a hard to locate object in Yahoo, I won't always find it, but going to a Google search nearly always gives me good results.

Same here but I know Google keeps on updating regularly and we don't know what are their plans in improving their SEs.

Both works hard, but you can say google is more experienced in search field

Well, to be fair, Yahoo has been around a bit longer than google and so they are probably technically more "experienced." However, I think this is a classic case of leapfrogging - Yahoo is held back by starting a search engine at the very beginning of the web revolution and is limited by obsolete algorithms which they can only tinker with instead of doing revolutionary things like google.

Just my thoughts... I have no actual proof one way or the other.

They look at different things when ranking sites, like links and content.
