I bet no one can explain this!

Post by nielloac »

My website is http://acura.niello.com and I recently made some text changes to my home page which included some links to some of my unindexed pages. I subsequently went from #1 on the term "Sacramento Acura" to #2. Here is the tricky part: On all the Big Daddy servers, I am #1. Also, I have searched over 80 data centers and I am #1. When I go to www.google.com, however, I am #2. How can that be? I have switched to multiple computers and still get the same result. Does anyone have an answer?

Sacramento is a nice place to live.

your site looks good
800 pages indexed

maybe #1 is ads

mybe people do not read ads from 80 data centers

That's not at all unusual and nothing to be upset about. Indexing often changes daily. It's nearly impossible to stay at number one all the time and it's really not that important. As long as you're on the first several pages you should consider yourself lucky.

Maybe you can compare these two queries...

Link A:
http://www.google.com/search?q=Sacramento+Acura
(#1 might not be counted in 10 ....
also no [ Cached - Similar pages ]
so you may say it is #0 )

Link B:
http://www.google.com/ie?q=Sacramento+Acura

any way you are at TOP

it is good

Thats the funny thing. When I click on those links, I am number 2. I know that number 2 is good, but when there is only 1 acura dealer in Sacramento, I expect to be #1. When you click on those links, am I #1?

if Link A: #0 do not count then

yes you have #1 for both Link A and Link B

Something you shall know: DCs switch servers and can be changed all the time.

you did a good job for your site already

good luck
