I did not know that Submit.

I guess I should have figured it out myself,
but I "assumed" yahoo was just yahoo,

not search.yahoo and dir.yahoo

I just forked out the $299 and got accepted to the Yahoo! directory. I figure it will help out with ranking. Is it worth the money? It seems to me that it just adds credibility to your site. I'm waiting on DMOZ, but not holding my breath, sorry to say.

Cool, yep I got in the top twenty, but there's only 14, hehe. PR is 4.

Thanks!

What do you meen when you say 'specially if your category has at least a PR3'? I am thinking of submiting my web to yahoo, but still have a doubt is it worth it. I had Google PR6, but then lost it for some reason (I started using url rewriting and I guess google could not spider my web, now it is fixed) and now I have PR0.

$299 Fee

Post by JobsWages »

Current FYI on the $299 yahoo fee.

To 'fork over $299 just for the opportunity to get looked at for inclusion in the directory may have been a good price for all the 'juice' you could get out of it.

As with the yahoo site in general, the directory inclusion has much less value. Unless you've got money 'to burn' it is not a good investment (in my opinion).
