Build a site with lots of content and get as many links as you can. Earning with Adsense is like a numbers game for me.. them more traffic the more chances of click through rate. IMHO

you will need the following

1) webhosting
2) forum codes (asp or php)
3) upload your forum codes into your hosting
4) set your forum database or odbc connection

Yes you need to as its on phpBB, and Mysql DB runs on unix platform.

if on asp will be with access DB

if your hosting company can have both OS available to you then there will be no issues.

if your current hosting company support only asp currently, then you will need to convert to linux hosting via their control panel or cpanel for short so that you can host your phpBB and mysql.

If you are on asp plan right now and your hosting company can add the php scripting in their MS IIS server for you then you can also host your phpBB and mySQL in your current asp hosting plan.

that is i am presuming that you are on asp hosting plan currently

the size of the upload will depends on your phpBB codes and the db which comes with it. as for the future increase in size for the forum you will need to estimate it.

hmmm for the mysql DB, this DB comes with the phpBB codes, you can upload this db into your hosting company but b4 you upload will need to change the db conneciton strings or config file first. and also to put it in the db folder provided by your hosting company.

and also to further protect your db you can give it a difficult name to guess like e.g a66jjj00pe.mdb (for access) so that internet users will not just download your db.
