Re: What is SDLC?
As far as I know, The Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is a process used by the software industry to design, develop, and test high-quality software. The SDLC aims to produce high-quality software that meets or exceeds customer expectations and reaches completion within times and cost estimates. The SDLC defines and outlines a detailed plan with stages or phases that each encompass its own process and deliverables. Adherence to the SDLC enhances the quality of the software, reduces development time and cost, and ensures that all requirements are met. The phases of the SDLC include requirement gathering, designing, coding, testing, and maintenance. It is important to adhere to these phases to ensure that the software is developed efficiently and effectively. There are different models of SDLC such as the Waterfall model, Agile model, Spiral model, etc., which can be chosen based on project requirements.
