Getting upto PR 5 or PR 6 is not really a difficult task.. but how about PR 7, pr8 and more ?

What are the factors considered ?
Does any PR5 or PR6 site needs to be listed on a PR7 or PR8 site to get there PR increased or should i exchange link with PR8 sites ?

or something else ?

As you have found out, getting a PR of 5 or 6 is not that difficult but moving beyond that can be! The best way to get a higher ranking is to invest some time and money with directories. There are many free and paid directories out there that will increase your pagerank over time. Of course the sites with the better page rank ask for more money but you just have to weigh the odds. Yes if you exchanging link with other website then you should consider the relevancy b/n the site . Relevancy really matter when talk about the PR of the site.

If you really want to get to higher page rank , then you should keep the sites updated in contrast with creating back links . Only getting high PR backlinks would not help a site for higher page rank . we can embed a blog and create some good no of index pages for our websites .

Good content can not bring higher page rank for your site! Your site can get higher page rank only with quality backlinks from relevant sites! Try to get quality backlinks from site .gov or from site .gov PR7 or PR8!
