How do you get in DMOZ?

Dmoz is really very slow.

DMOZ manipulate the website structure, trust zone and moreover, you have submit to the most to most appropriate category. DMOZ also take long time for approving your listing. So, have patience.

DMOZ is one of the wonderful directory among all directories. I have tried to get a DMOZ listing for my website but they didn't approve it.
I'll try later. Its really hard to get DMOZ listing.

I never bothered submitting my site to DMOZ. I've heard many bad reviews about it and how unreliable its editors are.

Honestly, from what I learned there not much you can do to get to the Dmoz. One of the websites that I submitted was accepted after 3 years.

I did contacted my directory editor directly but did not helped.

Dmoz will not dramatically increase your traffic or page ranking, it's just one of the high page ranking directories.

If you submitted one time, just let it go and concentrate on other directories.

I think submitting in dmoz is waste of time. They have taking so much time to listed in their directory. I tried so many times. I have several sites, but no one is listed in that.

I personally don't care about DMOZ listing but if you like to have a listing in DMOz and you think it is beneficial for you.

Submit your site, if you get a listing great, if you don't, don't worry about it. A lot of the categories haven't been update for over 4 years. I guess a lot of categories don't have editors working for them anymore for one reason or another, so you just need to keep your fingers crossed that the category you're submitting to has an active editor.

DMOZ has certain rules and regulations to keep a site with him. One have to wait for a long time to get listed. If you will submit your site frequently in DMOZ (if you are not listed) then you may be banned by that site as a spammer.

I agree with you. You have to follow DMOZ's certain rules and regulations. And, we know that it take a long time to be appear your website on directory.

I did the same thing. I applied an nothing! I went back and read through their forum and the moderators are not nice about the process. Basically told people who asked about their web sites, tough they don't care and its not their problem...Kinda turned me off so I don't care. I figure I will just go to other directories and its their lose.
