1. What's the meaning for related link ?
2. some web site has only 10 link can also go to first position..why ?
3. they have linked from directory .. is it useful not other link ?
4. Is the subdomain is not good ?
5. How about the location and e.g .co.jp ?? compared to .com ?

Relevant link are links that have also the same niches as your site. The reason of why having 10 links making to the top of the rank in yahoo, is that, it is because of the sites good on-page optimization, unique content and the quality of that 10 links makes the difference.
