GOOGLE PR UPDATE

I created my site at the end of June and think I missed the PR update around then. Well actaully I didn't even know what PR was.
My site had a PR 0 up until a few days ago.

It still says 0 at http://www.prchecker.info/check_page_rank.php
However it says my current PR is 1 at http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_prediction

I think my site (in my signature) still has a PR of 0 as it is predicted a PR 4 in the update and would be a bit disappointed if it was given PR1.

Anyone have any opinions?

thanks

You will probably get a PR 1 after the update. Google seems to have it's algorithm changed, some very high ranking sites have been lowered in their PR and many webmasters who have been extensively linkbuiling and promoting their site the past months won't see a change at all. It seems it's gonna be hard times for webmasters from now on...hopefully I am wrong ;)

I am one of them webmasters who has worked bery hard my domain was registered at the end of JulyI have managed to get 2500 backlinks and I only got a PR2 (gutted), I think you could be right because a couple of years ago that would at least get you a 4/10 at least.

Yeah, its been hard for everyone. The update is over, so dont expect to get anything more. Google has changed and really screwed people up. My traffic is really hurting because of it. Now its time to get back in the game and rethink some strategies.

How do you know when the update ends? I didn't get any change in my PR either...I started at 2/10 and still have a PR of 2. I guess I got passed over. Any theories as to what has become more important to Google if links aren't anymore?

Google PR update:Boon or Bane

Google updated PR recently and most of the sites get affected.
PR of some websites e.g www.directphoneshop.co.uk goes up from 3 to 4.
Even the index page i.e. http://www.directphoneshop.co.uk/index.asp
got PR from o to 3 :)
Google updates proves to be Boon for someone and for others Bane.

The update doesnt last that long, you will tell if you have been updated. They also update your backlinks so you will notice that. This time google has really screwed everyone, not that many people went up, most went down, even the big players. This just shows that the algo could be changing!

Google Algo keeps on chnging.Google updates itself after every 3 months.
i have veen observing this trend as when i started working on www.directphoneshop.co.uk it has PR 3 and backlinks only 17 and after updated firstly i noticed that backlinks increased then PR increases from 3 to 4.
Webmasters doing ethical and Quality SEO on their websites surely gains.
