Google has removed the torrent tracker The Pirate Bay and more than 100 related domains from its search results in the Netherlands. The corporation refers to a local order to block the pirate site. However, it does not oblige Google to do anything, so it turns out that the company has decided to comply voluntarily, writes TorrentFreak. According to the newspaper, this is the first time that Google has carried out an order to block the pirated site without a direct order.

Since then, The Pirate Bay has become a more mobile and flexible website, operators have moved it "to the cloud" instead of physical hosting, and all sorts of other tricky measures have been taken.
