How useful is the blog commenting in SEO

Blog commenting still works provided we're making good, relevant comments on good, relevant blogs.
Popular blog posts, particularly those on popular blogs, get a lot of traffic. And many readers continue reading once they reach the end of the post, browsing the first comments - By creating a Google Alert - Google Alerts - Monitor the Web for interesting new content - for the best or most popular blogs.

Bog commenting is one of the easy way to improve your PR and SERP. However, you need to check whether the blog is dofollow or not, nofollow will not give you PR juice, only dofollow will provide you PR juice.

blog commenting was one of the best but now it has no weight and in major blogs they have put on no follow so you can not have good rankings in the search engine.

If you make comments on relevant sites, or on sites which are really good, it would be beneficial. Doing Comments on high PR spammy sites just to get links will harm your sites.

It is effective if you follow the rules of that blog which are given to make any comment to the blog. Just give the meaningful reply towards the post that can be useful to others.

I think blog commenting is almost dead. The only way we can take benefit from it is by getting our comments approved on a relevant and high PR site.

it is very effective off page technique. Which is also time consuming because not every blog accepts all the comments instantly.It is good to find the niche sites and post some valuable comments.
