Hey everyone being new here I thought that I would ask, were else is a good position to place my chosen keyword, at the moment I have them in the title, <h1> tags etc and a couple of the pictures.

Is there anything else that I should do??

Yours,

JB

I think you should also include your keywords on your alt tag....when

you're using image as your anchor instead of text....

you can use only one <h1> tag in single html page other wise it will be black hat techniques.

Each image tag has a property : ALT where you can describe the picture.

Keywords has to be in :
- title tag
- h1, h2, ... tags
- first paragraph in the first 20 words
- last paragraph
- links going from your page to other relevant pages
- drop down boxes in form tag
- the name of the files, images, subdomains
- link title attribute <a href="" title="keyword">keyword</a>
- alt property of an image
- urls < a href="www.keyword.com">...</a>[/quote]

Best position for keywords...

1.) Title
2.) If you are using an image, put it in the alt tag.
3.) for links: put it in the title tag.
4.) Put your keywords inside your post contents to get a high keyword density. Make sure your post will not sound redundant....

Do this all,, a good chance for high keyword ranking will be possible.

I think you should place your keywords to the title tag. It will be very helpful to have a good keyword prominence. ;)

* Page Titles
* Meta Keywords
* Meta Description
* H1 & H2 Headers
* Image
* Content
* URL Structure
* Linking

Hope that helps... :D

Keyword competition is at an all time high for google references. Its crucial that if you want to rank for a certain keyword, that its seen somewhere as content on your page, link and or page source. Being in the meta tag will increase your search results by an immense amount.
