Different result on link popularity

One thing to make sure is that if your using reciprocal linking that all links you trade with are high quality as if you link to banned or penalized sites you can also face a ranking penalty

It can be time consuming to check how you rank in each search engines result's pages but it's something that you need to do to see how your site is ranking.
Traffic analysis will tell you how many visitors you're getting and from where but don't tell your SERP (search engine results pages) positions and link popularity.

use search engine to check backlinks coz each search engine has different algorithm.

different algos is the answer why your site ranks well in one site and sometimes not in other SEs.. you should observe everyday what specific SEs really love and how they can rank the site..

Every search engine have its own criteria to rank a site.So it is simple that a site have different rank in different search engines.
