The ordering doesnt make a huge difference, but the snippet you left seems to be correct as long as you are satisfied with the content in each tag.

Did you include a page title in addition to description and keywords?

If you post your site url I can take a look and give suggestions or recommendations. :D

Hi,

There is a great site you can visit to check your HTML code... You just input your URL and it will validate your HTML syntax and will also check...

1. For broken links
2. The completeness of your META tags
3. Page Load Time
4. Your backlinks
5. Any spelling errors
6. Link popularity
7. Keywords

The site is http://www.sitereportcard.com/ I would highly recommend it.

lassie wrote:Hi,

I'm new here and notvery familiar with this whole Meta tags thing..however I've generated one for my website...which I'm not sure the placement is correct or not. My site is not created using html..but I used win.publisher...so this is a bit confusing..

I was told to:

Please cut and paste this section on top of your HTML page in a text editor.
You should replace the section from <HTML> to </HEAD>

<HTML>
<HEAD>
<TITLE>Grow Your Lashes Naturally</TITLE>
<META NAME="Keywords" CONTENT="Grow eyelashes, grow eyebrows, longer, fuller, thicker, naturally, permanent results..low price, cheap, discounted rate">
<META NAME="Description" CONTENT="LONGer, FULLer, THICKer eyeLashes and eyeBROWS...Permanent results..Grown naturally...find out here.">
<META NAME="Author" CONTENT="grow.your.lashes.naturally@gmail.com">

<!-- META Tags generated by http://submitexpress.com/metatag.html -->
</HEAD>

So now I put it this way (to show a portion of the source code):

<html xmlns:v="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml"
xmlns:o="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office"
xmlns:dt="uuid:C2F41010-65B3-11d1-A29F-00AA00C14882"
xmlns="http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40">

<head>
<meta http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<META NAME="Keywords" CONTENT="Grow eyelashes, grow eyebrows, longer, fuller, thicker, naturally, permanent results..low price, cheap, discounted rate">
<META NAME="Description" CONTENT="LONGer, FULLer, THICKer eyeLashes and eyeBROWS...Permanent results..Grown naturally...find out here.">
<META NAME="Author" CONTENT="grow.your.lashes.naturally@gmail.com">
<!-- META Tags generated by http://submitexpress.com/metatag.html -->
</HEAD>

<link rel=File-List href="index_files/filelist.xml">
<!--[if !mso]>
<style>

Can anyone pls help me to verify is it correct?

Thanks.
What is your main keyword? That is the question. :)

Add this to your meta keyword -> Grow your lashes, Grow your eyelashes
