How to attain good SERP for a tough keywords

Please help me out...! How to achieve a good SERP for tough and highly competitive keywords? Though I'm applying all the conventional methods but its not gaining upto my desired positions. For eg: when i started optimizing the keywords, it was in 1000 after 3 weeks it was in 100 again this week its moved out from 100 to 200 positions. In this way its keep fluctuating the positions. So kindly suggest me some good "White Hat" seo methods to optimize the keywords. Awaiting eagerly for your expert suggestions. Thanx in advance.

This is because google update always going on. I think link building is the only way to keep you on top.

To attain good SERP for a tough keywords you must do the "White Hat" seo methods and you must follow this step for on-page optimization
On-page SEO main aspects/methods.
· Hyperlink Title Tags
· Meta Tags
· Header (H1) Tags
· Formating Tags
· Keywords
· Content
· URLs
· Outgoing Links
· ALT images

You cannot see the result for weeks after optimizing it but it takes time or even months before you can see a stable results. My suggestion is just continue what you are doing!

I forgot to say that google is now updating so mostly some sites that are in the SERP maybe asking why they are loosing their rank, it almost a month now when they start updating so you will not see a constant result for now. Just be patient!
I think just continue building links after you did the on-page optimization and after 3 months or more you will see some improvements!

If you want to attain a good competitive keyword a continues optimazation of your site is the key and add a little patient.

Just continue with the methods of on page optimization. Make a blog for your website. Write fresh articles in it. Submit in social networking websites. Web promotion on tough keywords needs patience. After coming in top 100 it keeps on fluctuating. Its hard work and keep on promoting the site through white hat means. The results would come.

Optimizing and competing for tough KW/s generally takes longer than the usual. You need to exert more effort in doing SEO and implement the best strategies that you can think of (but you should stick to the methods that guarantees a long term success) to get a good rank

You need to be patient. If you over optimise your site you might get penalised. You can't build links too fast or it'll look suspicious.

I was going to say same thing. I would be Patient for to get good rank. But I would give Traffic more priority.

When you do link building, use different anchor titles with your keywords. You can also improve the content of your pages to include your keyword phrases.

You need to have good on page optimization
and starting to get links next link and next links
But it´s long time process
You can´t get good ranking for very competitive word for some months
It could take more than year hard work...
