"Keyword dilution " and "Excessive cross-link

Hello friends,
Yesterday i listen about two words "Keyword dilution " and "Excessive cross-linking" can anyone tell me how i can define those words.
if you know then tell me.

I think Keyword dilution means having too much keywords in same web page.

and Excessive cross-linking means linking sites you own together in multiple ways and doing it so much than you attract a penalty from a search engine

You should write your content and set up your internal linking bearing in mind that makes sense for the users. Once you go over what is considered good practice for the user experience of your site, you might be penalised
