Importance of domain age for PR

Hi everybody,
I'm pretty sure, the age of domain is important for PR.
Recently I went through the list of my sites and noticed one of them
www.vacation-package-discount.com has 2 years old domain, but still has PR0. It's not banned, has around 30 backlinks (I know it's not a lot), has some content on it (not that big, but something). And I know the sites which are much younger then mine have bigger PR.
The question is, how many backlinks my domain should have in order to raise PR. May be anything else have to be done? And what actually a problem with it? Please help.

What do you mean by the "history of the domain"?
As far as optimization, I think the site is pretty optimized, isn't it?

I suggest you check all the links on your site if there are banned sites youre linking... thats maybe the cause...

Yes, I did, but couldn't find any banned sites I linked to.
BTW, are there any tools that can easily check for banned links the site is linked to, instead of doing it one by one.
Any other idea?

You could use a free tool from Mozilla Add-ons. It's called SEO open.. there's a certain tool there that can check the profile of a certain site...

Thanks for the tip. If I get it correctly, do I have to install Mozilla Add-ons to my PC first? Can you provide some link so I could read it? Please clarify.

You can check this out...
This tool will scan the links on your website, and on the pages that your website is linking to, and flag possible problem areas
