Hi, Some answers to some SEO problems in my experience

Post by belaorg »

Hi,

I have been SEO for about 1-2 years now and would like to give you helpful advice on what may be wrong with your site. In exchange for this please take a few minutes to reply to my question at the bottom.

So here we go;
Some few problems experience by webmasters

First disclaimer;
All advice is based on my experience, I am not saying these are the answers or solutions, they are there for you to try.

I do not wish to be looked as aknow it all as I do not, If I did I would know the answer below

1.www entries and non www entries
Did you run a sitemap generator on www.mywebsite.org and mywebsite.org? If so google takes this as twoo completely different domains. This strikes it as duplicate content and is very frustrating, I knew I had this problem with one website and I didnt realise for about 1-2 months.

Solution
Order a redirect in your .htaccess file which redirects from mywebsite.org to www.mywebsite.org - this should hopefully help you with any duplicate content issues. DO NOT order a redirect in your html pages, only .htaccess files.

2. Sandbox
I have never really been sandboxed, I guess it means when Google puts your website on hold to see if you are a spammer or are for real.

Solution:
Ive always digged my website from www.digg.com to avoid this problem, Ive always got indexed by digging my website even without backlinks. Trying digging your website if you are sandboxed.

3. Half indexed
You submit your sitemap yet google only picks up half your pages or a third. This means you are suffering from duplicate content issues, When I made a website with articles about 30% of the content overlapped with other sites including answers.com

Solution:
You would need to work on your backlinks to get fully indexed.

4. Navigation structure
Do you have a clear navigation structure? You should have a few links on your hompeage leading deeper and deeper into your content.

If you have a adult website who often have to put their websites on subdomains such as SPAM.myadultwebsite.org and who have a disclaimer on myadultwebsite.org. You would probably need to add a hell lot more content on your front page.

Solution:
Forget a disclaimer on your website and add content to your mainpage, put a disclaimer on the bottom line where nobody can see it, if you do not want to be hassled by pornographic parents who report every site with no disclaimer, host offshore. Hosting offshore is good especially because you need no disclaimers and nobody can do nothing :)

5. Backlinks are hard to get
I have been backlinking for ages; when I press link:www.mywebsite.org nothing shows up :(

Anyway here are the best ways I have found to get backlinks to your website.

This is purely from my experience;
I have calculated that the higher return on links is always achieved by Googling for directories related to your websites theme.

E.g. If you are selling antiques use this word
add url antiques
related links antiques
submit url antiques
antiques directory

You should get directories on 1 pages, open them in seperate browsers and post your URL, be sure to link back to them.

I have foudn contacting webmasters and asking for a link even when I hav e linked them does not bring much. Infact out of 300 emails I got 0

I have found signing up to link exchange requests are practically useless,

The best way is to Google directories related to your website.
If your website is adult You need to go underground.

By this I mean finding underground websites such as adult, pornographic, [banned word - SPAM] and this kinda content is like a whole different world!

Tips on how to go underground.
Start with a popular adult website;
Follow links from there;
Then follow links from there;
and again
and again
and again

eevntually you will have come across illegal pharmeceutical companies, illegal hacking forums, russian websites and you probably would have been infected with viruses, trojans and adware which is also bad.

PM me I can give you a list of directories that accept illegal content, these are NOT visible on Google so beware you will not find them.

The directories I have allow penis pills, SPAM scams and etc etc. These are run by very dodgy people and are completely free. You will not find them on Google just by searching for them but they are indexed.

So;
I normally recieve backlinks from websites within 1-2 days and was shocked to find out Google had picked up the links but still did not show any links to my domain.

Do not buy your way to directories.
Majority of directories are for local purposes, unless you have a local business try a directory if you do not have a local business you are wasting your time. MAjority of directories do not follow your link so why are you paying all that money?

Here is why;
You need a solution and you may be hoping all your problems will go away by buying links in directories.

I have tried this, believe me it does not work.

6.Content
Yes it is important, but whats more important is buying content from article bases is just recycled rubbish. Do not buy it!!!

I was fortunate to know this without even looking at the articles

7. More links

Have you stumbledupon your website?
Have you gone shopping with Kaboodle?
Have you digged your self?
Have you spotback yourself? Review yourself!
Netscape, if you write news, netscape it.
Mister Wong - master of bookmarks, use him! the .de website is in german but If I Can sign up without having any hassle you should to.

Just look for registre and logine :P

Are you in delicious?
Huge lists of social bookmarking sites can be found just by writing
'List of bookmarking websites'

8. Forum signatures
I have found these to be absolutely pointless, there is no point in doing this.

Leaving comments at blogs with your website - pointless

Erm......
If you are tring to SEO for specific words do not make everbody link to you on the same keyword over and over again, You will suffer!

Try this,
Regularly change your anchor text depending on how many people link back to you.

Last but not least
YOU ARE NOT SPECIAL; YOU ARE; but your website isn't ;)

This means there are NO ifs and buts regarding
cloaking
doorway pages

You can not do any of that stuff, link spamming is less of a serious issue. Link spamming does not go anywher, you might drive a few visitors but a good relationship with search engines is highley unliekly.

Ok so this has been my experience,
As promised I would as you a question which I do not know the answer to, so please help me out and give me suggestions.

PRoblem;
I have been backlinking for a bout 3-4 weeks and have about 7 backlinks succesful out of a possible 300-500.

When I go to google and press
link:www.mywebsite.org it shows 0 backlinks.

Why is this?
Should I keep backlinking?

Ive digged myself and all of that but why do you think It is showing 0 backlinks.

So this means when I log in it says - We do not have data for your website.

What can I do to get it to recgonize my website?
Link exchanging is traditional but I see no other ways of getting backlinks in.

I am about half indexed - duplicate issues
I have goten a few good backlinks

But still we do not have data for your website.

Whats up!?

Anyways thank you,
Thanks for reading my article

Appreciate it.
If I have made any errors please do correct them below but please do read the disclaimer.

Thanks for the post. I believe in darwinism; that is learning through observation so a few good tips there. In regards to your issue there are two possible problems.

1. Google index links on a less than regular basis and thier last update may of been before you had links.
2. Google only show quality links. Not saying your links arnt quality but google is very picky and specific in displaying links.

Solution check your links in google webmaster tools for a full list of inbound links that google have registered.
