SEO is important for new websites, but Google Ads is more important. SEO can take anywhere between 3-12 months before you start reaching good positions on Google and receive traffic. Google Ads works on a pay-per-click basis where instant traffic is delivered to your website. If you have a large budget, then I would do SEO and Google Ads. If you are working with a limited budget, then I would start focusing on Google Ads before attempting SEO, as SEO takes longer to work and Google Ads works immediately, hope that helps
