SEO for Framed Site

Post by turonga.com »

If a website uses frames like mine does, are there special considerations for SEO? Any tips?

Hi Turonga,

Try NOT to use frames if possible. The biggest problem is if a user lands in a 'framed' page with no headers, links etc, possibly even without a company logo.

Cheers

Frames set can work for seo as long as you set it up correctly. I know 2 sites that rank very well even though they are framesets. I recommend that you do put a logo on each page as well as a link back to the main frameset, this way it will be easier for the vistor to move around in the site.

Frames are not SE friendly, try using <div> or <table> for spiderability.

Frames are not reconded because the search spiders can not crawl the pages which uses frames . nut if u really need to use the frames also use noframe tag so that spiders index some part of that page

but In reality FRAMES are not recomended for getting a better rank

Avoid using frame because the search engine doesn't support it and you can have problem in indexing it to the search engine. Frame are bad for usability.
